This painting took quite a long time to complete because I decided to try and capture all of the detail of the original reference photograph which was quite a feat. I had a great time painting this as I love to get lost in the details.

I adored Hellboy 2: The Golden Army, and if you haven't seen it please give it a watch, it's a fantastic movie, in my humble opinion.

Mike Elizalde's comments when he saw this piece just topped it off nicely:
