This was a painting I decided to do after watching the trailer for The Phantom Menace. The hype surrounding that movie was, at the time, very exciting and being a lifelong Starwars fan I felt the need to paint something from this new and exciting movie.

This painting took a week of evenings to complete, I would come home after finishing my day job and get to work on this. I had never tackled a painting this size before or really painted onto canvas before, but after seeing the trailers for Menace I was so inspired I just got stuck in. If it wasn't for that inspiration I would still be painting on paper in black and white, this was the first painting I had tackled in colour before.
